The Juntunen’s took me to a hockey game at the Kuhmo Ice Hall. Finland’s Women’s Team vs. Sweden’s. Unfortunately Finland lost.

 Pesäpallo

The nearest pesäpall team is located in Sotkamo, about 60km from Kuhmo. Finnish baseball is great! A lot more movement, not as boring. The team in Sotkamo, Jymy, has won several Pesäpallo Championships recently.

Fishing In Tervasalmi

Eero and Jukka tried to fish, but they released both of the perch that they caught. They were hoping for something else. We continued to an island and built a campfire where we cooked sausage and had juice.

 Kid’s Concert

Eija took me to a nearby city for a children’s concert. Afterwards we walked along the lake and went to a campfire and enjoyed pancakes with fruit jam.

 Kuhmo Brass Band

I have been playing in a 20 piece group called Kuhmon Puhallinorkesteri. They are directed by my trombone teacher, Heiki, and most of my friends as well as my first host dad also play in the band.
